Friday Sermon about The Holy Quran
by Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad at, the Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community
Hadrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V

“Indeed, We Ourself have sent down this Exhortation, and most surely We will be its Guardian.” (Al Surah Al-Hijr 15:10)

No religious scripture other than the Holy Quran can claim that its each and every revealed word has been preserved. Allah has promised the preservation of each and every word of the Holy Quran. Not only is He preserving its text but He also sends reformers to safe guard its teachings. In our time Allah sent Promised Messiah (as) to be the reformer of this age. Huzur said those Muslims who are embarrassed over some of the teachings of the Holy Qur’an should seek perception from the words of the Imam of the age.

Huzur said Dajjal is hatching plans to bring changes to this Book but of course it will never be successful. In 1999 some Evangelical Christian church published a ‘new’ version of Qur’an and called it Furqan ul Haq devising their own verses in preparing the Muslims for the second-coming of the Messiah.

The Quran and The Bible
By Khalid Saifullah Khan
The Holy Quran

The Holy Qur’an affirms the truth of all the previous Revelations, which include those given to Moses (as) and Jesus (as). However, the Qur’an also points out that all the previous Books were sent for specific nations and times. As those Books were not final and universal, they were not provided the special protection against interpolations, as was granted to the Holy Qur’an, which was revealed as the final Guidance for all peoples and times.

The Christian scholars today are confirming what the Holy Quran had claimed about the Bible 14 centuries ago. Some of the evidence is examined in the companion article Banned from the Bible.

The Qur’an claims to be the culmination of all the previous Revelations, and contains the fundamental teachings of all the previous Prophets and Scriptures. To read details of what the Holy Quran has to say about the Bible click here.

Banned from The Bible

Unlike the Holy Quran the Bible came to its present form only after debates that lasted centuries. Constantine I convened the First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD and decreed that only one creed should emerge from the council. There was no revelation or inspiration, only voting and negotiation! Perhaps a hundred Gospels were suppressed. Only four were retained. The canon that emerged from these debates represented the books favored by the group that ended up winning. It did not happen overnight. In fact, it took centuries.

Four Ahmadi school children and an adult remain incarcerated twelve weeks after arrest on a fake charge of blasphemy
Innocent Children Victims of un-Islamic blashphemy Law

Innocent Victims of Un-Islamic and Barbaric Laws

The police registered an FIR against four school-going Ahmadi children and an adult on a false accusation of blasphemy and arrested them in the last week of January this year in District Layyah, the Punjab. They were accused of writing the name ‘Muhammad’ on the toilet walls of the local mosque. Despite the fact that no incriminating evidence is available the accused are still behind bars more than 12 weeks after their arrest. They are being detained on ‘judicial remand’. On every court appearance the remand is extended by the judge on request of the police. It is not known when these innocent will be set free. In the meantime, those who seriously threatened law and order and disturbed communal peace remain free and content gloating at their easy victory over the authorities in forcing them to incarcerate Ahmadi children sans evidence.

Islamic Council in Malaysia issues notice to Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat preventing use of Central Mosque It is with great regret that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat confirms that the Selangor Council of Islamic Religion has issued a notice ordering the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Malaysia (AMJ Malaysia) to stop offering Friday Prayers (‘Jumma’) at the National AMJ Headquarters, the Bait-us-Salam Mosque. Various other activities have also been banned under the terms of the notice. Click here to read the rest of the press release.

Editor’s Note: Malaysia joins the list of unforutnate Muslim countries where Islam is being abused by the self-proclaimed custodians (the Mullahs) of Islam for their political gains. The founder of Islam, Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) warned the Muslim Community (Ummah) from the later days Mullahs and called them the worst creatures under the sky! (Sahih Hadith) When he was asked how to recognize the true Community, he replied they will be on the pattern of me and my companions. We are yet again witnessing the truth of Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) and Islam Ahmadiyyat in these events of persecution that make Ahmadiyya Muslims similar to earlier days of Muslims.

The Holy Quran

Prof. Theodor Nöldeke, the well known Orientalist writes, “Since the use of the Koran in public worship, in schools and otherwise, is much more extensive than, for example, the reading of the Bible in most Christian countries, it has been truly described as the most widely-read book in existence. This circumstance alone is sufficient to give it an urgent claim on our attention.” (Encyclopedia Britannica Edition 1911. Under heading ‘Koran’ page 898)

Sir William Muir writes, “We may upon the strongest presumption affirm that every verse in the Quran is the genuine and unaltered composition of Muhammad himself.” (Introduction of the biography, Life of Mahomet)

Prof. Noldeke writes, “Slight clerical errors there may have been, but the Quran of Othman contains none but genuine elements, though sometimes in very strange order. Efforts of European scholars to prove the existence of later interpolations in the Koran have failed.” (Encyclopedia Britannica Edition 1911. Under heading ‘Koran’ page 905)

Professor Nicholson, says in his Literary History of the Arabs, “Here (in the Quran) we have materials of unique and incontestable authority for tracing the origin and early development of Islam — such materials as do not exist in the case of Buddhism or Christianity or any other ancient religion.”
