Hazoor gave his Friday Sermon today in continuation of the subject of the Divine attribute of Al-Razzaq, The Provider. Quoting from the Holy Quran and elucidating its verses though ahadith, Hazoor said that most definitely Allah is Pure and only accepts what is pure and wholesome and that He has commanded the believers to eat from that which is pure and wholesome and to do good deeds. Hazoor remarked how could the prayers of one who lives the life of grubbiness and eats what is forbidden be accepted? He added that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) said that man is deprived of provision because of his own error of ways and that when one who wishes to be well provided for and wishes to attain long life; one should treat one's relatives kindly. Hazoor commented that this aspect was most neglected and that the community still experiences lack of sila rehmi; that is kindliness towards relations.

Hazoor explained that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) said that one who is patient is granted the capacity to be patient, one who is content is made contended and one who adopts purity is granted purity and that there is no greater provision from Allah than patience. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) would make the following prayer at nighttime: 'O Allah, forgive me my sins, and broaden my house for me and bless whatever provision You have granted me.' Hazoor cited when Allah provided the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) with food he would make specific prayer, as he would when he would drink milk, the prayer is: 'O Allah bless this for us and provide us more of this because I do not have knowledge of any other food or drink that is a complete food like milk'.

Speaking with reference to verses (17:32) of Surah Bani Israel Hazoor expounded that one should never consider the issue of scarcity in planning one's family because it is Allah who provides for all His creation. Hazoor said family planning based on a fear of lack of provision is sinful.

Illustrating Razzaqiyyat with reference to the writings of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) Hazoor said just as a sovereign has rules and no entry zones, the no entry zone of Allah is all that is (haram) forbidden. Hazoor said the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) wrote that supreme happiness could only be achieved through God. Man, by definition, is in some anguish or the other and the nearer he gets to Allah the greater peace he finds. He is then also granted provision.
