In today's Friday Sermon Hazoor further elucidated the ongoing subject of the Divine attribute of Al-Aziz (The Mighty) With reference to Quranic verses and ahadith expounding seeking knowledge of Allah's creation Hazoor said that angels send salutations to one who teaches goodness and that in actual fact only that person is a true scholar who has fear of Allah in his heart. Hazoor said when a person embarks on the way to seek knowledge; Allah the Exalted places that person on the way that leads to Paradise. Presenting the Promised Messiah's (on whom be peace) exposition Hazoor said that those who fear Allah have in actual fact the true knowledge of the Divine beauty and majesty and are deeply humble. Those devoid of humility cannot ever justifiably be considered scholars in matters of faith. The pinnacle of a believer is when he reaches the stage of 'true certainty'.
With reference to the glory and splendour of the Holy Quran Hazoor said that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) told a person, in accordance with his needs, that in greatness the three foremost passages of the Holy Quran were, Surah Ikhlaas, Ayah tul Kursi and the last passages of Surah Al Baqara. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) warned of many calamities to come and said that the Holy Quran was the only antidote to these problems. Hazoor explained that The Holy Quran was indeed one thing that is free from any blemish, and a true scholar could never be satiated with it. Hazoor added that the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) said that the Holy Quran was an ocean of cognisance (gnosis) and a true believer is one who follows it to the letter. With reference to Allama Razi's writings on the subject Hazoor said that while the attribute of Al Aziz signifies the absolute might of Allah the Exalted, its regular Quranic usage in conjunction with other Divine attributes denotes the overriding Divine attributes of forgiveness, compassion and wisdom.
Hazoor concluded on pronouncing a few related revelations of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace). Following are two of those revelations:
"By Your Honour and Majesty, You alone are the Mighty."
"An honourable title, an honourable title, it shall be accompanied by a tremendous sign."
The Jumu'ah (Friday) prayer is one form of congregational worship in Islam. It takes place every Friday. Regular attendance at the Jumu'ah prayer is enjoined on the believer. According to a Saying of Muhammadsa this congregational prayer is twenty-five times more blessed than worship performed alone. (Bukhari)
“O ye who believe! When the call is made for Prayer on Friday, hasten to the remembrance of Allah, and leave off all business. That is best for you, if you only knew.” more
“… (He who) offers the Prayers and listens quitely when the Imam stands up for sermon, will have his sins forgiven between that Friday and the next”(Bukhari)
