Peace and Security

Summary of Friday Sermon Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad(rh)

Hazoor delivered his Friday Sermon on the subject of peace and security, how peace can be achieved according to Allah, when is it needed and how does Allah remove fear and anxiety. Hazoor elucidated this through the celebrated verse (24:56) of Surah Al Nur, illustrating the matter further with reference to ahadith and writings of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace).

Hazoor recounted that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) had said that in accordance with Allah's Will after prophet hood Khilafat will be established and then the world will go through many stages of oppressive rules until it will be Allah's Will again to establish Khilafat, which will be preceded by prophet hood. Hazoor also expounded that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) had prophesised that the Latter-Day revival of faith would be by the people of Hadhrat Salman the Persian's descent and that he had declared that his ummah could be exemplified with rain, one could not tell whether its first phase/part was better than its second phase/part. Explaining Hazoor said that we must always be mindful that whatever blessings we are being bestowed in this age are all due to the grace and blessing of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him). Hazoor added the importance of understanding the metaphorical significance of the Holy Prophet's (peace and blessings be on him) prophecy about the obligations of the Messiah, in that his breaking the Cross denotes breaking the foundation of the religion based on the Cross, whereas his killing of the swine connotes vanquishing people with impure and wicked nature.

Quoting from the writings of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) Hazoor explained that in times when hearts become vacant of the love of God, Allah the Exalted always sends His Khalifa so that Truth can triumph and non-truth is debased and people can return to a state of faith and that the complete verification of this was in the person of Hadhrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) who became a Khalifa when Islam was in a most perilous state with the evil crisis of apostasy and rebellion engulfing. The way in which Hadhrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) triumphed over these crushing calamities was indeed a fulfilment of Allah's promise. Hazoor expounded the similarity between the era of Khalifatul Masih the 1st when people had all but written off the Ahmadiyya Community and explained that the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) had foretold that lights would descend from heavens to convince people that their objections were mistaken.

Hazoor mentioned the huge catastrophes the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) had prophesised and which were fulfilled in the form of the two great wars. Hazoor said the current global situation appears perilously similar, he asked that prayers be said that may Allah the Exalted negate such a time.

Hazoor concluded with the following revelation of the Promised Messiah:

"All these people will run away and will turn back. For Us, today you are a person of dignity and are trustworthy and My blessing is on you in this world and for faith. You are among those people with whose circumstances Divine triumph is concurrent".
