Seek refuge from satanic temptations: flesh of swine in business

Summary of Friday Sermon Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V(aba)

Back in Britain after his triumphant Canadian tour, Huzoor(aba) delivered his Friday Sermon from Bait ul Futuh London. He based the sermon primarily elucidating an earlier admonishment that he had made to all those in the Jama’at whose workplace/business has a factor of the flesh of swine involved in it. With the aim to deliver a categorical decree on the forbiddance of the matter Huzoor(aba) threw light on it with reference to ahadith and excerpts from the writings of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace).

Huzoor(aba) said that one must seek refuge from satanic temptations that lead us into wavering over issues that Islam is so clear about, he enjoined that there is no question of any indecisiveness in this matter at all. Huzoor(aba) said making a clear distinction between what is permissible (halal) and what is forbidden (haram) wins Allah’s pleasure and leads to His blessings, that we should strive to seek ways which are over and above any doubt or misgiving. He said this is obtained only with Allah’s grace and for this we must continually turn to Him and ever attempt and be among those on whom there is Divine mercy and blessings.

Next Huzoor(aba) spoke on the spiritual and temporal triumph of his Canadian tour. Huzoor(aba) briefly described the various Jama’ats close to the Bait ul Islam mosque, commended the excellent conduct of the inhabitants of the Peace Village, their sense of civic duties etc. Huzoor(aba) commented on the high standard of the entire organisation of the Jalsa, in particular Huzoor(aba) praised the efficient way meals were served. Huzoor(aba) mentioned that a number of Canadian dignitaries participated in the Jalsa and made extremely favourable comments about it, Huzoor(aba) stated that these triumphs were for all to see, all but the bigoted religious scholars of Pakistan who continually mislead the Muslim ummah. Huzoor(aba) said we should pray that the Muslims are freed from their snare.
