The servants of God ultimately triumph

By Hazrat Khalifatul Masih I

Look! There was nothing so magnetic in the language or attire, site or surrounding, habit or custom, character or conduct of the residents of Qadian as to attract and draw to it people from distant climes like moths to a lamp. Never so! In fact, in our view, Qadian was a desolate and barren valley. In the other such valley (area around Mecca) at least the Arabic language had reached its zenith. But here in Qadian, even this attraction was non-existent. In the first there was a clannish homogeneity which was in itself a strength and advantage. This also was totally lacking here in Qadian.

Here only a sweet and melodious Voice was raised by a singly chosen individual, on promise of succour and support from the Almighty, to give prominent priority to matters of faith over worldly considerations. You heard this voice and responded and accepted it.

Allah the Almighty who is also “Rabbul-Aalameen”, had made it a rule that, in beginning, only the poor and ordinary joined the Prophets and Messengers. While, as those who were called great and elite conjoined to oppose. They pooled up all their strategy and strength to obliterate and annihilate the chosen ones. But they, in the end, met their retribution and were levelled down. The men of God, with Allah’s help and support, became ultimately triumph. This took place just to show that God’s people were not indebted to anyone else. They became simply a manifestation of Allah’s Benevolence, grace and might so that the faith of the weak chosen ones got strengthened and they, in sheer gratitude and thanks-giving sang Hosannas in praise of the Almighty.
