[19:56] He used to enjoin Prayer and almsgiving on his people, and he was well pleasing to his Lord.
[19:56] اور وہ اپنے گھروالوں کو نماز اور زکوٰۃ کا حکم دیا کرتا تھااور اپنے ربّ کے حضور بہت ہی پسندیدہ تھا۔

[19:57] And relate the story of Idris as mentioned in the Book. He was a truthful man and a Prophet.
[19:57] اور (اس) کتاب میں ادریس کا ذکر بھی کر۔ یقیناً وہ بہت سچا (اور) نبی تھا۔

[19:58] And We exalted him to a lofty station.

[19:59] These are the people on whom Allah bestowed His blessings from among the Prophets, of the posterity of Adam, and of the posterity of those whom We carried in the Ark with Noah, and of the posterity of Abraham and Israel; and they are of those whom We guided and chose. When the Signs of the Gracious God were recited unto them, they fell down, prostrating themselves before God and weeping.
[19:59] یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن پر اللہ نے انعام کیا جو آدم کی ذرّیّت میں سے نبی تھے اور اُن میں سے تھے جنہیں ہم نے نوح کے ساتھ سوار کیا اور ابراہیم اور اسرائیل کی ذرّیّت میں سے تھے اور اُن میں سے تھے جنہیں ہم نے ہدایت دی اور چُن لیا۔ جب ان پر رحمان کی آیات تلاوت کی جاتی تھیں وہ سجدہ کرتے ہوئے اور روتے ہوئے گر جاتے تھے۔

[19:60] Then there came after them descendants who neglected Prayer, and followed evil desires. So they will meet with destruction,
[19:60] پھر ان کے بعد ایسے جانشینوں نے (ان کی) جگہ لی جنہوں نے نماز کو ضائع کر دیا اور خواہشات کی پیروی کی۔ پس ضرور وہ گمراہی کا نتیجہ دیکھ لیں گے۔

[19:61] Except those who repent and believe and do good deeds. These will enter Heaven, and they will not be wronged in the least —
[19:61] سوائے اُس کے جس نے توبہ کی اور ایمان لایا اور نیک عمل بجا لایا تو یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جو جنت میں داخل ہوں گے اور ذرا بھی ظلم نہیں کئے جائیں گے۔

[19:62] Gardens of Eternity, which the Gracious God has promised to His servants in the unseen. Surely, His promise must come to pass.
[19:62] ہمیشگی کی جنتوں میں جن کا رحمان نے اپنے بندوں سے غیب سے وعدہ کیا ہے۔ یقیناً اس کا وعدہ ضرور پورا کیا جاتا ہے۔

[19:63] They will not hear therein anything vain, but only greetings of Peace: and they will have their sustenance therein, morning and evening.

[19:65] ‘And we (angels) do not come down save by the command of thy Lord. To Him belongs all that is before us and all that is behind us and all that is between; and thy Lord is not forgetful.’
[19:65] اور (فرشتے کہتے ہیں کہ) ہم نازل نہیں ہوتے مگر تیرے ربّ کے حکم سے۔ اُسی کا ہے جو ہمارے سامنے ہے اور جو ہمارے پیچھے ہے اور جو اُن کے درمیان ہے۔ اور تیرا ربّ بھولنے والا نہیں۔
