[84:16] Yea! surely, his Lord sees him full well.
[84:16] کیوں نہیں! یقیناً اُس کا ربّ اُس پر ہمیشہ گہری نظر رکھنے والا تھا۔

[84:17] But nay! I call to witness the evening twilight,
[84:17] پس خبردار! میں شفق کو گواہ ٹھہراتا ہوں۔

[84:18] And the night and all that it envelops,
[84:18] اور رات کو اور اُسے جو وہ سمیٹتی ہے۔

[84:19] And the moon when it becomes full,
[84:19] اور چاند کو جب وہ نور سے بھر جائے۔

[84:20] That you shall assuredly pass on from one stage to another.
[84:20] یقیناً تم ضرور درجہ بدرجہ ترقی کروگے۔

[84:21] So what is the matter with them that they believe not,
[84:21] پس انہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ ایمان نہیں لاتے؟

[84:22] And when the Qur’an is recited unto them, they do not bow down in submission;
[84:22] اور جب اُن پر قرآن پڑھا جاتا ہے تو سجدہ نہیں کرتے۔

[84:23] On the contrary, those who disbelieve reject it.
[84:23] بلکہ وہ لوگ جنہوں نے کفر کیا، جھٹلا دیتے ہیں۔

[84:24] And Allah knows best what they keep hidden in their hearts.
[84:24] اور اللہ سب سے زیادہ جانتا ہے جو وہ جمع کر رہے ہیں۔

[84:25] So give them tidings of a painful punishment.
[84:25] پس اُنہیں دردناک عذاب کی خوشخبری دے دے۔
