[85:13] Surely the seizing of thy Lord is severe.
[85:13] یقیناً تیرے ربّ کی پکڑ بہت سخت ہے۔

[85:14] He it is Who originates and reproduces;
[85:14] یقیناً وہی شروع بھی کرتا ہے اور دُہراتا بھی ہے۔

[85:15] And He is the Most Forgiving, the Loving;
[85:15] باوجود اس کے کہ وہ بہت بخشنے والا اور بہت محبت کرنے والا ہے۔

[85:16] The Lord of the Throne, the Lord of honour;
[85:16] صاحبِ عرش (اور) صاحبِ مجد ہے۔

[85:17] Doer of whatever He wills.
[85:17] جو چاہتا ہے اُسے ضرور کرکے رہتا ہے۔

[85:18] Has not the story of the hosts come to thee?
[85:18] کیا تجھ تک لشکروں کی خبر پہنچی ہے؟

[85:19] Of Pharaoh and Thamud?
[85:19] فرعون کی اور ثمود کی۔

[85:20] Nay, but those who disbelieve persist in rejecting the truth.
[85:20] بلکہ وہ لوگ جنہوں نے کفر کیا وہ تکذیب ہی میں (لگے) رہتے ہیں۔

[85:21] And Allah encompasses them from before them and from behind them.
[85:21] جبکہ اللہ اُن کے آگے پیچھے سے گھیرا ڈالے ہوئے ہے۔

[85:22] Nay, but it is a glorious Qur’an,
[85:22] بلکہ وہ تو ایک صاحبِ مجد قرآن ہے۔
