Continuing with the elucidation of the Divine attribute of Al-Nur (the Light) in his Friday Sermons, today Hazoor further expounded the matter, as always with reference to the Holy Quran and ahadith.
Hazoor explained that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) would pray and supplicate to Allah the Exalted addressing Him as the Nur of all creation and that he had said that he as a servant of Allah had been the ‘seal of all prophets’ from the time before the creation of Adam (on whom be peace) and that his advent was a result of the prayer of Ibrahim (on whom be peace) and that his blessed mother had seen a nur when she gave birth to him.
Hazoor spoke with reference to verse (39:70) of Surah Al-Zumar that cites the advent of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) as the ‘earth shining with the light of her Lord’. Quoting from the writings of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) Hazoor said that the world was indeed steeped in darkness [of brutality and ignorance] that was utterly transformed by the light of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) whose claim and indeed a manifestation of the claim was that he was sent to dispel the darkness of the idea of divine plurality. Hazoor said that when a person believes in the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) with absolute sincerity, acknowledges his greatness and follows him with obedience, negating one’s own self completely then one ultimately derives a part of the Divine Nur that in turn dispels all the inherent negativity of that person, it is at this point that this nur or light is infused in and eventually manifested through that person's knowledge and their actions.
Hazoor said that the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) wrote that it was not possible to express a befitting sense of gratitude for the blessing of being counted among the followers of a Prophet of God who was pure nur and whose nur is for all time and all era.
