Speaking on the subject of the Divine attribute of Al-Nur (The Light) and its depiction among God’s creation, Hazoor delivered his Friday Sermon with reference to verse (57:10) of Surah Al-Hadid. The verse declares Allah’s beneficence in conveying His illuminating Signs to His servants, which facilitate in bringing mankind out of the darkness of ignorance and into the light of awareness and cognisance.
Quoting from various commentaries Hazoor enjoined the advantage of keeping the company of righteous scholars that can bring about an enlightenment of the heart just as rain saturates the soil. Speaking further about Allah’s Nur, Hazoor said that the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) explained that Baba Guru Nanak had indeed affirmed with reference to the Holy Quran that God creates each and every thing and that there is nothing that is not created out of His Nur.
Hazoor recounted the Promised Messiah’s (on whom be peace) dynamic and fervent appreciation, both in prose and poetry, of the Holy Quran as the prime source of guidance and instrument to gain nearness to Allah the Exalted and as the key source to attain spiritual discernment that the Divine Light or Nur brings about and of which the Holy Quran is a crowning glory.
