Al Khabir - The All-Aware

Summary of Friday Sermon Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V(aba)

Today Huzoor(aba) resumed the subject of the Divine attribute of Al-Khabir (The All Aware) in Friday Sermons as started by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV rahma’ullah.

Huzoor(aba) recited verse 136 of Surah Al Nisa (4:136) and said that it was a pity that Muslims around the world have forgotten the commandment of the verse along with many other Quranic directives and that he would merely say Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’oon in response to the derisory coverage of the death of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV rahma’ullah by some Pakistani newspapers.

Huzoor(aba) further cited verses (17:31), (22:64) and (25:59) to illustrate the Divine quality of Al-Khabir. Huzoor(aba) said that the magnificent message of the Holy Quran is not confined to the believers rather it contains numerous prophecies that are sufficient to silence those outside of Islam. Elucidating verse 12 of Surah Al Takwir (Ch. 81:12) Huzoor(aba) said that the telescope was not invented till 1609 and yet the Holy Quran, that was revealed centuries beforehand, unambiguously mentions the firmament and informs us about it’s mysteries. Similarly verses 9, 10 of Surah Al Ma’arij (70:9-10) speak of signs, which have since been proven to be applicable to atomic warfare and radiation.

Huzoor(aba) related some ahadith exemplifying that Allah the Exalted gave the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) knowledge of many things beforehand, for example during conflicts with the enemy he would be foretold of the exact locations where particular individuals would fall. Huzoor(aba) related that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) informed us 1,400 years ago about both the healing and the infectious properties present in the winged insect ‘fly’ that have now been proven with scientific research.

Huzoor(aba) recounted a few episodes from the life of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) when Al-Khabir Allah would make him aware of future occurrences like the incident when he received the revelation of “Is not Allah sufficient for His servant?(39:36) upon his momentary anxiety over his financial situation. Huzoor(aba) recounted the subsequent inscription of the verse on a stone set in a ring, which the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) wore and has now been passed on as a legacy of Khilafat from Hazrat Musleh Maud (may Allah be pleased with him) to Huzoor(aba). In explaining the subject of Al-Khabir Huzoor(aba) also related the incident of the spiritual duel the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) took on with Alexander Dowie.

In conclusion Huzoor(aba) mentioned the extraordinary privilege the British Jama’at has had of serving Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV rahma’ullah, who, he said to the best of his knowledge has departed from this world pleased with them. Huzoor(aba) conveyed his appreciation for the sincere manner in which the British Jama’at undertook its responsibility of managing and providing for the guests from all around the world during the momentous occasion of the passing away of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV rahma’ullah. Huzoor(aba) told of the gratitude of people from all over the world for the commendable transmissions of MTA during these days. Huzoor(aba) said his daily post is replete with the worldwide Jama’at expressing their sincere gratitude and prayers for the admirable coverage of the historic events.

Huzoor(aba) prayed that may the staff of MTA continue to serve with even greater sincerity and earnestness.
