Holy Prophet's high morals and supreme courtesy

Summary of Friday Sermon Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V(aba)

With reference to verse 22 of Surah Al Ahzab (33:22) Huzoor(aba) based today’s Friday Sermon on the theme of the Holy Prophet’s(sa) high morals and supreme courtesy, selecting to elucidate his quality of benevolence, in particular, towards those who are disadvantaged in life.

Huzoor(aba) said we understand this sublime trait of the Holy Prophet(sa) through his traditions and it was highly likely that what has reached us, through these narrations, is not even a hundredth of the original glorious characteristics.

Reading excerpts of the Promised Messiah’s (on whom be writings) incomparable and eloquent praise of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) Huzoor(aba) explained the veracity of the great love.

The Holy Prophet(sa) said that God had sent him for the completion of good morals; therefore, Huzoor(aba) said each person who is in the ummah of this ‘perfect man’, in particular the Ahmadi Muslim is obliged to honour his blessed advent by adopting these qualities. Citing Ahadith Huzoor(aba) related the Holy Prophet’s(sa) propensity towards meekness and meek people, his exceptional leniency towards his personal servants and indeed his championing of the slaves. He had deep affection for the simple-minded Bedouins and befriended them despite their awkward habits.

Huzoor(aba) recounted Ahadith illustrating the Holy Prophet’s(sa) kindness and deep affection for children and explained the most excellent factor of his fair-mindedness in that his prayers for children of his own family and other children would be indistinguishable.

The Holy Prophet(sa) enjoined that all creation is the ‘family’ of Allah and that Allah likes the person who is kind to His ‘family’ and cares for their needs.

Next Huzoor(aba) related some Ahadith that admonish against disregard in benevolence towards the disadvantaged, in kindness towards all people in particular towards close relations and in acknowledging the dues of the young and the elders.

In compliance with the most excellent and blessed model of the Holy Prophet(sa) the Promised Messiah(as) demonstrated great love, affection and care towards those who were disadvantaged and Huzoor(aba) recounted a few illustrations of this.

In conclusion Huzoor(aba) said these paradigms shall never be dated. If we wish to obtain Allah’s grace and honour our claim of love for the Holy Prophet(sa) then we have to follow these blessed examples.
