Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community speaks of Truth of The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him)

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad quoted numerous incidents from the life of the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community

2014-07-30-Eid-2
During his weekly Friday Sermon, delivered from the Baitul Futuh Mosque in London on 27 February 2015, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa, His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, quoted numerous incidents from the life of the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him), highlighting the truth of his claim.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad mentioned an incident where a person came to the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) and suggested that he should present his claim to those clerics who opposed him in a different manner. In response, the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) said:

“If my claim was man-made, I would have acted in the way that you suggest. However, mine is a divine claim and I have acted as instructed by God.”

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad narrated an incident highlighting the forgiving and generous nature of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him). Once the authorities apprehended some of his opponents and the magistrate said the case would proceed unless the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) himself forgave the accused. In an attempt to save themselves the accused duly went to the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) and asked for forgiveness, which he immediately granted. When asked him why he had done so, the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) responded,

“How can I reject them if they are seeking forgiveness?”

Upon this, the magistrate said that he knew the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) would forgive them.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said that throughout his life the Promised Messiah championed freedom of religion and promoted inter-faith dialogue. Thus he established the tradition of ‘inter-faith conferences’ where the representatives of different religions joined together on one platform to highlight the qualities of their faith.

His Holiness said that these incidents were not repeated simply so people could listen to or appreciate them but rather Ahmadi Muslims should seek to follow the example of the Promised Messiah (peace e upon him) in all aspects of their daily lives.
