The Light of Truth is the English translation of Nurul-Haqq—a two-part Arabic work of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad^(as), the Promised Messiah and Mahdi.

Part I, published in February 1894, demonstrates the unrivaled literary excellence of the Holy Quran and its true meanings concerning Jesus Christ in response to the vulgar, baseless attacks of Padre ‘Imad-ud-Din Lahiz, an ex-Muslim-turned-Christian missionary.

Scarcely a month after its publication—and three years after Hazrat Ahmad claimed to be the Mahdi—the very lunar and solar eclipses that the Holy Prophet Muhammad^(sa) foretold as a Sign of the Mahdi’s advent, occurred on 21 March and 6 April, respectively.

Part II, published in May 1894, addresses these long-prophesied celestial Signs and refutes objections made by Muslim critics like Shaikh Muhammad Husain of Batala to the hadith conveying the prophecy.

Composed of miraculous Arabic prose and several eloquent odes, The Light of Truth is a passionate plea for Muslims to return to the path of righteousness, and a decisive response to numerous Christian allegations against the Holy Quran.
