True patience is not passive; it is a dynamic moral discipline that restrains the nafs (lower self) and aligns one’s actions with divine guidance. It requires conscious effort to resist the pull of immediate gratification and to trust in Allah’s wisdom and timing. Such patience transforms trials into means of spiritual growth, protecting a believer from the short-sightedness that greed and haste inevitably bring.
Impatience is greed. It leads only to loss and regret. It consumes not only the self but also harms those caught in its reach. Left unchecked, it brings ruin to both the individual and others around them. True success lies in embracing patience which anchors the heart, sharpens judgment, and guards against reckless choices.
