What are the guidelines when entering a mosque?

Covering of heads is not required when entering the mosque but rather only when engaged in prayer, however many visitors cover their head out of respect for the place of worship being a house of God. The Ahmadiyya Mosques serve for a number of functions other than prayer. For example, religious classes are held, Sunday School, local chapter meetings and other such activities, make the mosque an extension of the community to engage in.

A Muslims’ prayer require a variety of prostrations, such as bending down onto knees and placing forehead on the floor. Shoes must be removed in order to keep the prayer areas clean. Chairs can be used for worshippers who have physical limitations and can’t sit on the floor, however generally chairs are not used during services/prayers in order to accommodate more worshippers in congregation.
