Slavery, deeply rooted in human history, presents complex moral and historical issues intertwined with societal evolution. In this short essay, Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad^(ra) explains how early human conflicts and survival instincts shaped societal norms. As civilisations advanced, moral awareness grew, changing attitudes toward slavery. The author expounds on how the Holy Prophet^(sa) emerges as a pivotal figure in transforming perceptions about slavery and advocating human liberation, guiding humanity towards genuine freedom and moral righteousness and emphasises Islam’s unique role in abolishing slavery and promoting true freedom.
