Hazrat Khalifatul Masih said he recently received a letter from USA in which an Ahmadi wrote how he was inspired to listen to Huzoor’s address at Jalsa Salana UK about people coming into the fold of Ahmadiyyat. Huzoor had explained in the address how people were entering Ahmadiyyat Islam through Tabligh efforts and also by directly drawn to Ahmadiyyat by God through dreams etc. and how faith was being strengthened and the truthfulness of Ahmadiyyat was being instilled in hearts. This inspired the letter-writer to wish for someone to come into Ahmadiyyat through him so that he could personally witness Divine signs. A short while later he received a telephone call from a lady who said that she had seen his number on our web site. She said she was interested in Islam and wished to meet. On being invited she travelled a long distance and came for the meeting and related her story. She said she developed interest in Islam and started researching it on the internet. Her husband and in-laws who were strict Christians were unhappy about this and eventually there was a break-up and separation. The court gave custody of her two children to the husband. The lady gave precedence to her quest for the truth and started deep study of our web site and also started watching MTA regularly. She said the information of other sects of Islam did not satisfy her. She continued her search and also watched Jalsa proceedings and now wishes to join the Jama’at. The letter-writer said that his daughter said that when she had heard at Jalsa how new-comers to Ahmadiyyat Islam came to believe in the truth and how God guided them she had felt that perhaps those were exaggerated accounts. But listening to this lady her faith was refreshed and now she understood how God truly guides people to the truth.
Some educated people as well as young people may wonder if the accounts of new-comers to Ahmadiyyat are somewhat overstated. It should be remembered that what Huzoor presents are not mere stories but are factual accounts and are instances of a Divine wave. There are indeed countless such accounts from which Huzoor but chooses a few. Huzoor said he had said last year that he would relate some of these accounts [apart from at Jalsa Salana] during the course of the year as well. Now, this year’s accounts are also piling up, therefore, today Huzoor related some. This is done so that our faith is strengthened and we are motivated to self-reflect and think how we too can receive guidance from God.
Accounts of new Ahmadis should not be listened to as interesting stories; these are factual accounts which should be faith-enhancing and we should be grateful to God for His treatment of the Jama’at. These accounts should inspire us to be mindful of our responsibilities. Indeed, it is our obligation to take the message of Islam Ahmadiyyat to others and while we need to make efforts for this we also need to look at our own practices and adapt them according to ways of God. Our good, positive role models will further strengthen the faith of new Ahmadis.
A lady from Tunisia says that she likes reading and started a study of the Holy Qur’an and read other Islamic books. She reflected over verse 158 of Surah An Nisa: ‘… wherein they slew him not, nor crucified him but he was made to appear to them like one crucified;’ and was also drawn to other Quranic verses about death of Jesus (on whom be peace). She read in a compilation of Ahadith about the attributes of Dajjal and wondered how God could send such a person in the Muslim Ummah! She prayed to God for guidance and one day while channel surfing she found MTA. She found MTA completely opposite to other channels and felt that its discussions were carried out with dignity. Through MTA she realised that the Promised Messiah’s advent had taken place. She prayed to God not to let death overtake her until she became an Ahmadi Muslim. With the grace of God the lady has now taken Bai’at.
An Ahmadi from Yemen says he lived in Chinese society and found Chinese people very good. Some Arabs took undue advantages of the good natured Chinese and he wondered how could it be these courteous people would go to Hell in spite of their gentle nature and Arabs, all but Muslim in name would go to Paradise. He started researching Islam and one day unexpectedly happened to see MTA. He found the arguments put forward on MTA very powerful and awe-inspiring and was overwhelmed by them. He started to watch MTA regularly and would always weep when watching it but did not know why he wept. He prayed abundantly that the truthfulness of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) would be made evident to him. During prayer his body would quiver and then he would feel tranquillity. He felt this to be answer to his search. He read books of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) and found most of the answers to his questions in them. He took Bai’at.
A 22 year old young man from Holland says that he was always interested in spirituality but was not drawn to religion. He realised that evil was spreading rapidly in the world and this led him to study the objective of life. During his research his heart became inclined to Islam. He also had the chance to hold discussions with two Ahmadi friends of his. He visited the Jama’at, liked its atmosphere and it became evident to him that Ahmadiyyat indeed was true Islam and it also became evident to him that the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) had come to the world. He felt there was true faith and unity among the Ahmadis. He wrote a letter to Hazrat Khalifatul Masih requesting him to pray for him and this led him to take Bai’at. He says he is now learning Salat and is trying to lead a pure life.
Sadr Jama’at Kyrgyzstan says he happened to talk to a Russian colleague at work who was a Christian. She said she was not completely satisfied with her faith. She was given ‘Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam’ to read. After reading the book the lady said she felt satisfied. She read more books which further strengthened her faith. She also visited Qadian and has also taken Bai’at and is now a member of the Wasiyyat scheme.
A friend from Holland says he longed to have a connection with God and also longed for love of God but Bible did not truly guide him. One day he prayed most earnestly before leaving home for the fulfilment of his wish and for him to meet someone who would help him with his search. That day was the birthday of the King when people set up stalls all over. He stumbled upon an Ahmadi stall and saw the books and literature there including the book ‘Philosophy of the Teaching of Islam’. He says after the reading the book his world was transformed and he realised the author of the book could not be someone ordinary and had indeed been Divinely bestowed with knowledge. This led him to attend Jalsa in Holland which had a profound effect on him and he realised the prayer he made that day had been fulfilled. He took Bai’at during Jalsa Salana Germany.
A lady from Libya says after Qaddafi’s regime was toppled she prayed most earnestly and passionately to God to send Imam Mahdi. One day she found MTA channel on television by chance and saw a photograph of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) and her heart was drawn to it. She watched other MTA programmes and was informed of facts. This carried on for a year and then she felt that she should take Bai’at without further delay. She has written to Huzoor for strength of faith.
A driver of one of our mission houses writes that he had been married for two years but did not have any children. He had heard about Ahmadiyyat and also about the advent of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace). He prayed to God that if Imam Mahdi had truly come then he be blessed with a child and may he also become a follower of the Promised Messiah. His prayer was accepted. His wife fell pregnant the same month. He now has a daughter and has taken Bai’at.
Hazrat Khalifatul Masih said if for some reason some people do not get satisfaction but are eager to recognise the truth they should supplicate to God with an open mind. Indeed, God guides those whose intention is good, sometimes through dreams and at other times through different means.
Amir Sahib Gambia writes that a friend told him that he liked the message of the Jama’at and also appreciated that members of the Jama’at were good moral people yet he wondered why all religious leader opposed the Jama’at, surely, they could not all be wrong! Eventually he left the matter in God’s hands. He saw a dream where the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) says to him, ‘come with me’ – he sees there are other people present as well. They cross a desert and then he recognises some people there as Ahmadis. He said truthfulness of Ahmadiyyat was clear to him after this dream and he took Bai’at and now he does Tabligh and many have joined Ahmadiyyat through him.
Our missionary from Haiti writes that a new Ahmadi told him that when he was researching the Jama’at he had a dream. It is an extraordinarily bright day and the sun is shining brilliantly from very close. A strong earthquake takes place in which part of his house is also destroyed. Still in the dream he thinks about visiting the Ahmadiyya mission house. As he walks to it he sees destruction all around. Upon reaching the mission house he sees that it is completely intact and the missionary is talking to some people. The missionary invites him to the sea port. There they board a white boat and sail in the sea. Following this dream he was convinced that salvation was only through Ahmadiyyat Islam and he took Bai’at.
Our missionary from Australia writes that a Sikh who was under Tabligh accepted Ahmadiyyat Islam through a dream. Missionary Sahib received a telephone call from him sounding very emotional and hardly able to speak. He then related his dream of three days ago. He saw that he is a very dark place and is feeling suffocated and very anxious. Suddenly there is light and a holy person standing in front of him says if you wish to get out of the darkness hold my hand. He held the holy person’s hand and at this point he woke up! Missionary Sahib invited him over and when he showed him photographs of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) and the Khulafa, the person put his finger on the photo of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) recognising him as the holy person who had appeared in his dream.
Our missionary from Mali writes that a person rang the Ahmadiyya mission house and said that he was an Ahmadi from that day and requested that his Bai’at was taken. When he was asked why he wanted to take Bai’at he said due to the current state of Muslims in the world he did not feel inclined to join any of the sects. He said he read the Qur’an and hadith and tried to follow it to the best of his ability and was convinced that God would not leave Islam in the current state and would definitely send Imam Mahdi. He prayed for this. The night before when after praying he went to sleep he had a dream in which the moon comes down from the sky and towards the Earth. So much so that it lands on the person’s hand and from it comes the sound that Imam Mahdi has come. The person then remarked: is that not what the Ahmadiyya radio broadcasts and calls on people and tells him that Messiah has come, indeed, the Messiah has come! He added, he had no doubt left in his mind and took Bai’at.
A person from Conakry, Guinea says that the Ahmadiyya missionary was doing Tabligh to him but he did not have inner peace. He constantly prayed to God to show him the right path. He was shown in a dream that the path he was being invited to was indeed the right and straight path. He took Bai’at.
A person from Germany writes that after being introduced to the Jama’at he started watching MTA and prayed for the truthfulness of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) and performed Istikhara Prayer. One night when he fell asleep after Istikhara Prayer he had a dream. He saw the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) coming out of his palace while beams of light are emitting from the walls of the palace. The Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) opens his hands and places them on the person’s head who submits: I hear and I obey. When waking from his dream he had conviction of heart.
A person writes from Egypt that he is a young Egyptian who was introduced to the Jama’at a year ago through MTA and was convinced that this indeed was the truthful sect of Islam and requested that his Bai’at was accepted. One night he prayed in a heart-rending manner for steadfastness and for a sign. He saw a dream in which he is in an assembly where he sees Huzoor Anwer and Huzoor puts a silver ring which has a Quranic inscription on it on his finger. He writes that he was elated when he woke up from this dream.
Our missionary from Sierra Leone writes that there was just one Ahmadi Jama’at in a far flung place in Kanama region. In the adjoining village to where the Jama’at is established a young man of good morals was being crowned according to local tradition. The young man says the night when he was crowned he had a dream. He saw that there is a small mosque and a large mosque and he wishes to go to the large mosque for Salat. A voice tells him that if he wishes his prayers to be accepted and if he wishes to have a connection with God he should go to the small mosque. He goes to the small mosque and sees his father sitting in there. He tells his son: this is the mosque of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at. If you want to have a connection with God, you should only come to this mosque for your Prayers. He says he did not know anything about the Jama’at prior to this dream so he asked people of the surrounding areas if there was an Ahmadiyya mosque around there. Someone pointed it out to him. The young man got in touch with our mu’allim (teacher/tutor) at the mosque and took his Bai’at.
Huzoor said the main thing is sincerity and not majority. One should go where God’s grace is.
Someone writes from Gambia that one night he saw a dream that a person comes to him and holds him hand firmly and says Assalamoalaikum warahatullah to him. He does not recognise the person and asks people who he is. People tell him that he is the Imam of the Ahmadiyya Jama’at. Next morning he went to our mission house and related the dream to our mu’allim. The mu’allim had MTA on which was broadcasting Huzoor’s Friday sermon at the time. When the guest saw Huzoor on MTA he remarked that this indeed was the person who had appeared in his dream the night before and he accepted Ahmadiyyat Islam.
Niab Nazir Dawat Lillah writes from Qadian that a person called Lal Din saw a dream in which a deceased child tells him that four people will visit him and tell him about Islam. He was advised to accept what the visitors told him and to put it in practice. Nazir Sahib writes when they arrived at Lal Din’s house and gave him the message of Ahmadiyyat he told them that he had been informed of their visit through dream and he said he had been waiting for them. Following this Lal Din Sahib, his sons and the rest of his family took Bai’at.
A new Ahmadi from a local Jama’at of Kyrgyzstan writes that once during Asr Salat he experienced a vision in which he heard the verse of Surah Yunus: ‘And Allah calls to the abode of peace, and guides whom He pleases to the straight path’ (10:26) in his right ear. He was then told that teachers from India will explain the commentary of the verse to him. This is when this condition went away and he was left amazed at what he had experienced. He says he did not even know about India at the time. Later, when he went to Russia for employment purposes he met people from India but did not have any religious discussions with them. Gradually he himself became aware of matters of faith and was introduced to Ahmadiyyat and joined it in 2012. He had understood the significance of the Quranic verse; people from India were going to be a source of guidance for him!
Our missionary from the Maharashtra region of India writes that in a village of the area a woman called Sultana Begum was a fierce opponent of Ahmadiyyat. Her husband had accepted Ahmadiyyat and there was great upheaval in the family and there was fear they would get divorced. Her husband stayed firm on his belief and asked the Jama’at to advise her. Jama’at told her that her husband was on the truth and she should also pray God would show a miracle. However, she felt Ahmadiyyat would ruin her faith and although they had MTA at home, she watched other channels. God’s power manifested in a dream the lady had. She saw a holy person recites the Kalima and says that the Holy Qur’an is the final Shariah and it should be followed. She felt this holy person was the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him). This dream did not convince her although she went quiet after seeing it. She has another dream in which she saw that Ahmadiyyat had spread all around their area and whoever she speaks to is an Ahmadi. She saw the kalima written on an egg yolk and it is also written that the Imam Mahdi has come! In the dream she says to her brother who is also an opponent of Ahmadiyyat that these people are truthful! Next morning she took Bai’at.
Our mu’allim from the Koulikoro region of Mali writes that an elderly man from a village told him that he had seen a dream a long time ago that he is climbing a very high wall. Once he reaches up the wall he sees flowers and on the right side of the flowers are some people. He is told in the dream that if he wishes to learn about Islam and recognise the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) he should join those people. He did not understand what this meant. Now that he had started listening to Ahmadiyya radio he saw another dream in which he is told to join the people of Ahmadiyya radio and he will reach God. He accepted Ahmadiyyat after this.
The responsibility of those of us who are born Ahmadis and long-term Ahmadis increases after we listen to accounts of those who are guided by God. We should keep an eye on our own condition and create a connection with God and correct our practices. We should always remember lest our indolence deprives us. It is God’s decree that Ahmadiyyat is going to move onwards and upwards, what we need to do is pay attention that we are also part of this onward progression.
There are also accounts where people have issued Fatwas against us but God has caused those who seek these Fatwas themselves become targets of the edicts!
An Ahmadi lady from Egypt writes that her father belongs to an Islamic organisation and follows it blindly. His organisation sought another Egyptian organisation to issue a Fatwa against Ahmadiyyat declaring it to be outside Islam. Once, her father made a false allegation against Ahmadis when their relatives were around. She felt very helpless and raised her hands in prayer and pleaded to God to support Ahmadiyyat with His grace and avenge those who spoke falsehood and claimed to speak the truth. While she was fasting in Shawal she switched on the TV and heard the news in amazement that Al Azhar had declared that very organisation (which had passed a Fatwa against us) to be outside of Islam. She said she raised a slogan of Allaho Akbar and said the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) was indeed truthful. She told her father this was an answer for him in the form of a greater and more powerful Fatwa!
The Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) said: ‘There was a time when we had no more than just the odd person with us and now we see they come in their droves. ‘People will come to you by every distant track.’ Not only this; something supplementary has taken place. The opponents have tried their utmost that people stop coming here. However, ultimately this phrase has come true and now each new person who comes to us is a sign of this revelation.’
The Promised Messiah said: ‘Allah the Exalted does not want our Jama’at’s faith to remain weak. With His grace, Allah the Exalted is manifesting signs to enhance the faith of our Jama’at.’
Huzoor said this process continues to this day but some unfortunate people not only do not recognise the truth, they oppose it.
The Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) said: ‘God has appointed me, God has sent me. They watch whether the person, who says he has come with the command of God, has God’s support and succour with him or not. However, they saw sign upon sign but said they were false signs. They saw Divine help and succour upon Divine help and succour and said it was sorcery. What hope can I have for these people who dishonour Word of God Almighty! Respect of the Word of God demanded that as soon as they heard His name they should have surrendered, but their mischief is heightened. They will see for themselves in Whose hand is the ending!’
May God soon show these opponents their ending and may Ahmadiyyat move onwards and upwards and may we always be a part of it.
Next Huzoor announced that he would lead some funeral Prayers after Friday Prayers.
Jamil Ahmad Sahib has lived in Germany for a long period. He came to the Jalsa Salana UK with his family. They had come in two cars. In recent days, I received a letter from America in which the writer mentioned that during your address at the Jalsa, you were narrating incidents of how people are joining Ahmadiyyat — how, through preaching as well as direct guidance from Allah the Almighty, attention is being drawn towards Ahmadiyyat. People are becoming firm in their faith, and the truth of Ahmadiyyat is taking deeper root in their hearts. Upon hearing all this, he says, a desire arose in my heart that I wish someone in this part of the world might also enter Ahmadiyyat through me, and that I too might witness such signs. He says that some time later, the bell of my phone rang, and on the other end was a woman. She said, "I saw your number somewhere — actually on a website — and so I am calling. I have an interest in Islam, and I would like to meet you." He said, "Alright, please come." So, after traveling a great distance, she came to him. She narrated her circumstances — how her interest in Islam had developed. Then, through the internet, she had gathered further information, due to which her husband and in-laws, who are staunch Christians, also turned against her. She incurred their displeasure. Because of this, a separation took place between her and her husband. She had two children who, according to the court's decision, also had to be given to the husband. But she gave precedence to the search for truth and gave up everything. In any case, she says that she had carried out an in-depth study by visiting the Jamaat Ahmadiyya website, and she watches MTA regularly as well, and she also said that she had sought information about other Muslim sects too, but she found no satisfaction anywhere. And every time she turned her attention towards Islam, her attention would be drawn to reading the literature of the Jamaat. This Ahmadi of ours informed her that in recent days our Jalsa had also taken place on MTA. She said, "Yes, I listened to that Jalsa as well, and now I wish to enter true Islam." He writes that my daughter, who at that time was speaking with her and was present there — she perhaps studies at university — said, "When during the Jalsa the incidents of new entrants into Ahmadiyyat were being narrated, of how they came to believe in the truth of Ahmadiyyat, and incidents of guidance from Allah the Almighty were being recounted, I had thought that there were some tales in them, some exaggeration. But upon hearing this woman's account, my faith too has been refreshed — that this is not exaggeration; rather, Allah the Almighty is turning the hearts of the world." How does Allah the Almighty guide? Thus, the thought sometimes occurs even to some educated people or to the youth that perhaps an incident is being exaggerated, but it should be remembered that whatever incidents are narrated here are not tales and stories but realities. There are a few samples of the wind that has been set in motion by Allah the Almighty, which I present before you. There are countless such incidents, of which I take but a few; and even those incidents which are selected for the Jalsa cannot all be related there. For this reason, last year I had said that during the year, whenever I find an opportunity, I will continue to narrate them. But some were narrated, and some could not be. Then, a great many incidents from this year, too, have accumulated.
In any case, I narrate these incidents so that firmness may be created in our faith, and that we too may continue to take stock of ourselves as to the extent to which the roots of Ahmadiyyat are also becoming firm within us. How we, too, should turn our attention to our worship. How we, too, after accepting Ahmadiyyat, should seek guidance from God the Almighty.
In any case, in this connection, today I shall narrate some incidents of new entrants — how Allah the Almighty guides them. We should not listen to these merely as interesting stories; rather, this is such a reality as becomes, and ought to become, a means of increase in faith. It should be such as causes us to take stock of our own conditions. It should be such as causes the expression of feelings of gratitude for Allah the Almighty's treatment of the Jamaat. It should be such as draws our attention to the realization of our responsibility and to its discharge. To convey the message of truth to the world, to guide them, is our task today. This is our duty. Thus, just as efforts on our part are required for the discharge of this task, so too is there a need to mould our practical conditions in accordance with the way prescribed by Allah the Almighty, so that our practical examples may further strengthen the faith of the new entrants. In any case, as I said, I will present samples of the support of Allah the Almighty and how Allah the Almighty provides guidance.
A lady from Tunisia, Munia Sahiba, writes that I have a great fondness for study. I studied the Holy Qur'an and many other Islamic books as well, but several matters were beyond my comprehension. For example, the verse of Surah al-Nisa: وَمَا قَتَلُوۡہُ وَمَا صَلَبُوۡہُ وَلٰکِنۡ شُبِّہَ لَہُمۡ (Al-Nisa: 158); likewise, other verses regarding the demise of the Messiah always remained the focus of my attention — whether the Messiah (peace be upon him) had passed away or was alive in the heavens? Then, in Riyad-us-Saliheen, I read the attributes of the Dajjal, and the thought occurred to me — how could Allah the Almighty send such a person within the best of nations? The thought used to come to me — what is Jesus (peace be upon him) doing seated in the heavens? I would become troubled by these thoughts and would pray to Allah the Almighty for guidance. Suddenly, one day, while changing channels, I came upon MTA, which was different from all the other religious channels. On it, a debate was going on with a priest concerning the demise of the Messiah. Unlike on other channels, the conversation between the host and the participants was very dignified. During this, I came to know that the Promised Messiah, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (peace be upon him), had already appeared. Then I continued to watch MTA regularly, and gradually all the issues became clear to me. Then I prayed to Allah the Almighty that death might not come to me until I become an Ahmadi. Eventually, I took the bai'at and entered the Jamaat Ahmadiyya. This is a great favor of Allah the Almighty upon me.
Then, from Yemen, Ghamdan Sahib writes about the incident of his bai'at, that I had the opportunity to go to China and live among Chinese society, and I found them to be very fine people. I also observed that some Arabs took unfair advantage of their good treatment and would even speak ill of them. The thought used to occur to me: how is it possible that these people, despite all their good morals and good conduct, would go to hell, and we, merely on the basis of being Muslims in name, would inherit Paradise? After this, he says, I conducted research and began to read Islamic books. This research continued. I watched various Islamic books and channels. During this period, one day, I suddenly got the opportunity to watch MTA. The arguments presented therein were so powerful that, from their force and awe, my body trembled. It seemed as though some electric current had passed through my body. After that, I began to watch MTA continuously. While watching it, I would involuntarily begin to weep, but it was not known to me why I was weeping. The feeling that prevailed was that God the Almighty Himself had guided me to this channel. I began to pray earnestly to Allah the Almighty in order to know the truth of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him). Each time, I would receive its answer in the form of a tremor in my body and mental peace. Through this, I would become satisfied that the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) is true. After this, I studied the books of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him), in which the answers to most of my questions were to be found. After this, he says, I took the bai'at and became part of the Jamaat.
Then, from Holland, Mr. Tom Overgoor, writing about the incidents of his acceptance, says that I am 22 years old and a university student. I took the bai'at at the beginning of 2014 in the Bait-ul-Mahmood Mosque in Amsterdam. I had always had an inclination towards religion, and at a certain age, my faith in the existence of God was also very strong, but I never had any particular inclination towards a specific religion. Day by day, I came to feel more and more that evil had spread in the world. He is a youth, and this is his way of thinking. Our youth, too, should reflect — those who are Ahmadis by birth and never even think about this. He says, day by day, I came to feel that evil had spread greatly in the world. This compelled me, and I set out in search of the purpose of life. I read a great deal and conversed with friends about it. During this research, my heart began to incline towards Islam. In this connection, I also continued conversing with two Ahmadi friends of mine. Along with them, I also went to the Jamaat center in Nunspeet, where I observed the Jamaat's environment. From this, it became clear to me that true Islam is none other than Ahmadiyyat, and it also became clear to me that the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) has truly come into this world. All Muslims are in search of unity, and Ahmadiyyat alone is that unique community in which true and firm unity exists, and in which the sweetness of true faith is found. He writes, I wrote a letter requesting prayers to Khalifatul Masih, and after writing the letter, Allah the Almighty showered His grace upon me. The truth of Islam became fully clear to me, and going to Masjid Mahmood, I took the bai'at. I am learning to offer Salat. I am striving to lead a chaste life. Then, from Kyrgyzstan, there is Salamat Sahib. He is the President of the Jamaat. He says that where I work, a colleague of mine — a Russian lady who was a Christian — had a conversation with me about religion. He says, during the conversation, she said to this humble one that she does not have inner satisfaction with her religion. She was introduced to Islam Ahmadiyyat and was given the book "The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam." She then said that whatever questions I had regarding religion, I have received their answers, and I have become satisfied that Islam is indeed the true and real religion. After this, she studied further books of the Jamaat, and her faith in the truth of Islam continued to grow stronger and stronger. To the extent that she even went to Qadian and took the bai'at, and is now also enrolled in the system of Wasiyyat. Then, from Holland, Mr. Arjan, who was a Christian by religion, narrates the incident of his acceptance, that I had always been in search of attaining a connection with God the Almighty and His love, but the Bible had never given me true guidance. One day, before leaving the house, I prayed before God with utmost fervor, "Guide me towards the truth, and bring me into contact with such a being who can connect me with You." This was the day (in Holland) of the King's birthday, when all people go out and set up their stalls. Hardly an hour had passed when I passed by a book stall of the Ahmadiyya Jamaat. There I met an Ahmadi friend who introduced me to the Jamaat and, along with other Jamaat literature, gave me the book "The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam." Going home, I studied that book, and my whole world changed. It immediately became clear to me that the author of this book is no ordinary man; rather, only a man taught by God can write such a book, and Islam is indeed the true religion. After this, I attended Jalsa Salana Holland and Jalsa Salana Germany. These spiritual gatherings had an extraordinary effect upon me, and it became clear to me that all this is the answer to the prayer that I had offered. There remained no room for any kind of denial. Thus, during the Jalsa in Germany, he took the bai'at.
Hala Sahiba is from Libya. She says, after the toppling of Gaddafi's government in Libya, I prayed very earnestly to God the Almighty, 'Now send the Imam Mahdi quickly, so that he may set matters right." After this, suddenly one day, while changing channels, I came upon MTA, where I saw a picture of Hadrat Aqdas Promised Messiah (peace be upon him), which drew my attention towards it. So I began to watch various programs on this channel, and I became acquainted with the beliefs. And this continued for a year. After which I decided that, without delay, I should immediately take the bai'at. Then she writes me a letter, asking me to pray for her firmness of faith and steadfastness. Then there is Pone Abdullah Sahib of the Bouake Mission House, who is being granted the opportunity to serve as the driver of the Mission House. He says that more than two years had passed since my marriage, and there were no children. Two years ago, when I had just newly heard the name of Ahmadiyyat and the news of the appearance of the Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him) had only just reached my ears, I prayed for the granting of offspring: "O my Allah! O All-Hearing and All-Knowing God!! If indeed the Messiah and the Mahdi have appeared, and Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Sahib is in fact that very Imam Mahdi, then enrich me also with the blessing of offspring, and grant me the opportunity to be among the servants of the Muhammadan Messiah (peace be upon him)." So he says that Allah the Almighty accepted my prayer, and that very month my wife became expectant, and now I also have a daughter. And after this, that family then took the bai'at as well. If some are in no way satisfied, but have a desire to recognize the truth, then if they entreat with empty minds before God the Almighty and seek guidance from Allah the Almighty… The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) has stated this — pray that Allah the Almighty may guide you to the straight path. If the intention is good, Allah the Almighty provides guidance, and then, through one means or another, or through dreams, guidance comes, and the truth of Ahmadiyyat is made manifest.
There are some incidents involving dreams. Amir Sahib of Gambia writes that there is a place called Donge Kibe, where a friend said that ever since I heard the message of Jamaat Ahmadiyya, I always felt good about it, and then the character of the members of the Jamaat was exemplary and impressive. But I always wondered: what is the reason that all Muslim ulema are opposed to Ahmadiyyat? It cannot be that all of them are wrong. For this reason, I always remained in doubt regarding the claims of Jamaat Ahmadiyya. I was advised to leave the matter to Allah and to pray, so that Allah the Almighty might provide guidance. So I started praying. One night, I saw the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a dream, and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Come, walk with me." At that time, there were also some other people with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). I was with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and we crossed a desert. After crossing the desert, at the place where we were arriving, some people began to be visible in the distance. When I drew near to those people, I clearly recognized that these are members of Jamaat Ahmadiyya. As if the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was with two groups — one was the first group, and the other a later one. Through this dream, the truth of Ahmadiyyat became clear to me. I narrated the dream to the Missionary Sahib, and taking the bai'at, I joined Ahmadiyyat. He now also engages in tabligh. Through him, several people have entered Ahmadiyyat. Then there is the missionary of Haiti, who says that one of our new entrants, Abdul Mutaali Sahib, told us that he was conducting research about the Jamaat. It is a matter of the second week of February 2014, when he saw in a dream that, as it were, there is a day which is unusually bright, and it seems as though the sun is shining from very close, when suddenly a very severe earthquake comes, due to which, in no time, almost all the houses are destroyed. A part of his house also collapses. In view of this situation, the thought occurs to him that he should go and see the Ahmadiyya Mission House. In the dream itself, he sets out from his home towards the Mission House. Along the way, there are devastated buildings everywhere. People are out on the streets screaming. When he arrives at the Ahmadiyya Mission, he sees that the Mission building is perfectly intact. And the missionary, along with some other Ahmadi brethren, is standing outside the house and conversing. Seeing me, they say, "Come, let us go to the seaport." And when we all reach the port, a white-coloured boat is standing there, and we Ahmadi brethren all board it. There are some Ahmadis already aboard this boat, and we begin our journey upon the sea by means of this large vessel. After this, the dream ends. He says, this matter became firmly embedded in my heart with the certainty: now if there is salvation, it is only through Ahmadiyyat. Thus, he took the bai'at.
Then our missionary from Australia writes that a Sikh friend, Deep Inder Sahib, was under tabligh. He also attended Jalsa Salana Australia. After considerable research, he accepted Ahmadiyyat on the basis of a dream. He says that two weeks earlier, he telephoned me, and his voice was very choked. It was difficult to speak, and he would burst into tears. He said that three days earlier, he had seen a dream, that I am in such a place where there is great darkness. Due to this darkness, there is severe distress. It feels as though breath will not come and life will depart. I am thinking, how shall I emerge from this darkness? Just then, light suddenly appeared in the darkness, and the darkness was transformed into light. An elderly figure came and stood before me and said, "If you wish to come out of this darkness, then take hold of my hand," and he extended his hand towards me, "Take my hand." As soon as I caught hold of his hand, my eyes opened. I remained troubled for two days as to what kind of dream this was. This dream and that elderly figure would not leave my mind. That same day, the missionary called this gentleman and showed him the pictures of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) and the Khulafa. He, placing his hand on the picture of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him), said, "This is the very elder who was telling me to take his hand so that I might be saved from the darkness."
The missionary of Mali writes that a person telephoned the Ahmadiyya Mission House and said, "From today I become an Ahmadi. Please take my bai'at." When asked the reason for taking the bai'at, he began to relate that on account of the present condition of the Muslims, my heart did not feel inclined to join any sect, and I used to read the books of the Holy Qur'an and Hadith and try, to the best of my ability, to act upon them. But, regarding the present condition of the Muslims, this thought was always in my heart — that God will not leave this religion in this condition, and the Mahdi shall most certainly appear. I used to consider this very time to be the time of the Imam Mahdi, and used to pray for it. He says, last night when I went to sleep after praying, I saw in a dream that the moon has separated from the sky and is coming towards the earth. And as the moon drew near, it came onto my hand, from which a voice was issuing that the Mahdi has come, and they are calling out to people, calling them. Then he says, "Your radio too is making this very announcement: جَآئَ الْمَہْدِی، جَآئَ الْمَہْدِی." Therefore, now there is no ambiguity, and I take the bai'at. From Guinea Conakry, Alseny Souma Sahib says, an Ahmadi friend, Muhammad Sahib, was preaching to me. I had no peace of heart, and I was continuously praying that Allah the Almighty might show me the straight path. During this period, I saw in a dream that the path towards which I am being called is indeed the right path. At this, my heart became satisfied, and Allah the Almighty granted me the opportunity to take the bai'at.
Then Ibrahim Karoun Sahib from Germany writes that after my introduction to the Jamaat, I began to watch MTA. After this, I prayed regarding the truth of Hadrat Aqdas Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) and performed istikhara. One day, after the istikhara prayer, I saw the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) in a dream, that he is coming forth from his palace. From the walls of this palace, rays of light were emanating. I, wearing the ihram, was standing near the threshold of his palace. I bent down and placed my arms on my knees. The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) opened his hands and placed them on my head, whereupon I began to submit, "سَمْعًا وَ طَاعَۃً." After this, I awoke. He says, after this, I attained sharh-e-sadr (full conviction).
Then, Ala Sahib from Egypt writes that I am an Egyptian youth. About a year ago, I came to know of the Jamaat through MTA, and I became convinced that this is the saved sect. Please accept my bai'at. He says that one night, weeping before God, I asked for some sign for the sake of steadfastness, whereupon I saw myself in a dream in a gathering, where they are writing to me — "I saw you, and you placed a silver ring on my middle finger, on which a Qur'anic verse was inscribed." When I awoke, I was very happy and considered the dream a means of connection between Ahmadiyyat and Islam.
Then the missionary from Sierra Leone writes that there is a far-flung Jamaat of the Kenya Region called Tongo Field. In the village adjacent to this Jamaat, the seed of Ahmadiyyat had not yet been sown. In the village adjoining this Jamaat, there was a young man of fine character. The people of that village, in accordance with their local custom, placed a crown upon him to make him the leader of the youth. That young man relates that on the night this crown was placed upon me, I saw in a dream a large mosque and a small mosque. I wish to go into the large mosque for prayer. A voice comes, "If you wish your prayer to be accepted and to establish a connection with Allah the Almighty, then go into this small mosque." When I go into the small mosque, I see that my father is sitting in this small mosque, and he says to me, "Son, this is the mosque of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat. If you wish to establish a connection with Allah the Almighty, then come and offer prayers in only this mosque, and maintain contact." This young man says that before this dream, I knew nothing about the Jamaat. But after this, I began to ask people of the surrounding villages whether there was any mosque of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat here. A man told me about the mosque in Tongo. I contacted the mu'allim there and, taking the bai'at, joined the Jamaat.
The real thing is sincerity, not numbers. It is the grace of Allah the Almighty. With whomever the grace of Allah the Almighty is. Thus, merely to say that all the sects of the Muslims are on one side and the Jamaat Ahmadiyya is on the other, to this point too, they were directed: do not look at numbers. Look at where the supports and the help of Allah the Almighty are, and on which side acceptance of prayers is more abundant.
A gentleman from Gambia, recounting his dream, writes that one night, when he was sleeping, he saw in a dream a person who came and, taking firm hold of his hand, said, "Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah." In the dream, he did not recognize this person, and then in the dream itself, he asks people, "Who is this?" The people tell him, "This is the Imam of the Jamaat Ahmadiyya," and then he says, "My eye opened." The next morning, this gentleman came to our Mission House and related the dream to our mu'allim. Our mu'allim had MTA on. At that time, my Friday Sermon was being broadcast on MTA. So he says, after seeing me, he said, "This is the very person who came in my dream last night," and then he accepted Ahmadiyyat.
Naib Nazir Sahib Da'wat ilallah, Qadian, says that here, in a hamlet called Mojha Wali in Hanumangarh, a friend, Lal Din Sahib, sometime ago saw a dream in which there is a deceased child who is saying to him, "Four people will come to you. They will tell you about the religion of Islam. You should accept their words, support them, and act upon them." When we people went to the home of Lal Din Sahib and gave him the message of Ahmadiyyat, he, after hearing all that was said, said, "The information of your coming had already reached me through a dream, and I was waiting for you people." Thus, he and his sons and the entire family took the bai'at.
In a local Jamaat of Kyrgyzstan, the new entrant Bahadur Sahib relates that it is a matter of 1998, that this humble one was offering the Asr prayer when, a little before turning the salam, a state of kashf came over this humble one, and into my right ear was recited this verse of Surah Yunus from the Holy Qur'an:وَاللّٰہُ یَدۡعُوۡۤا اِلٰی دَارِ السَّلٰمِ ؕ وَیَہۡدِیۡ مَنۡ یَّشَآءُ اِلٰی صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِیۡمٍ (Yunus: 26) — that "And Allah the Almighty calls to the abode of peace and guides whomsoever He wills to a straight path." After this, he says, I was told that the explanation and exegesis of this verse will be expounded to you by a teacher coming from India. After this, the state passed. After concluding the prayer, I was extremely amazed and stunned at what kind of state had come over me, and what kind of treatment this was, because up until that time, I did not know a country like India, nor had I heard its name. Then I had to come to Russia from Kyrgyzstan in connection with work. When I came here, I met some friends. They were from India, but they did not know anything about the Jamaat, and no religious matters were discussed with them either. Only worldly and business matters were discussed. Then, gradually, awareness of, and interest in, religion grew. A day came when I was introduced to Jamaat Ahmadiyya, and by the grace of Allah the Almighty, I got the opportunity to accept the Jamaat. In 2012, I took the bai'at and entered the Jamaat. This humble one came to understand the exegesis and explanation of that verse — that since the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) is from Qadian, therefore Allah the Almighty enabled me to accept this Imam and to enter the Jamaat, and one coming from India became, for me, a means of guidance and peace.
Our missionary in charge of Chandrapur, Maharashtra, writes that there is a town here, where the wife of Sheikh Qadeer Sahib, Sultana Begum, had for a long time been intensely opposing the Jamaat Ahmadiyya. This lady belonged to a severely opposed family of the state of Andhra Pradesh. After marriage, her husband, Sheikh Qadeer Sahib, accepted Ahmadiyyat. At this, there was a great commotion in the household, and the matter reached the point of khula and divorce. Sheikh Qadeer Sahib regarded all relationships as nothing in comparison with Ahmadiyyat and remained firm. At Qadeer Sahib's request, we too counseled his wife: "Your husband is on the truth. You also pray; Allah the Almighty will surely show a miracle." But she would think that perhaps her faith might become corrupted on account of Ahmadiyyat. For this very reason, she would try to remain distant from Ahmadiyyat. Despite MTA being available in the house, she used to watch the Madani channel. But the power of Allah the Almighty manifested its splendor. One day, the said Sultana Sahiba saw a dream in which an elderly figure is teaching her the Kalimah, and he is telling her, "The Holy Qur'an is the final Shariah; act upon it." She says that, in her view, that elderly figure was the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). She did not feel satisfied with this dream, but even so, she fell silent for some time. Then, after some time, she again saw a dream that Ahmadiyyat had spread throughout the surrounding area, and whomever she asks calls himself an Ahmadi. Then she saw that within the yolk of an egg, لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللّٰہ مُحَمَّدٌ رَّسُوْلُ اللّٰہ is written, and on it is written that Hazrat Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him) has come, and in the dream itself, Sultana Sahiba says to her opposing brother, "These people really are truthful." She had a virtuous nature. After this, as soon as it was morning, she took the bai'at.
Our mu'allim from Koulikoro of the Mali Region writes that in their village, Show, an elderly man, Bange Diarra Sahib, related that a long time ago, he saw a dream that he is climbing a very high wall, and when he reached its summit, he saw there a great many flowers, and to the right of these flowers, many people are sitting. In the dream, he was told, "If you wish to learn about Islam and to recognize the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then join those people." But he could not understand what was meant by this. Now, when he started listening to "Radio Ahmadiyya Noor" (the name of the Ahmadiyya Radio is Noor), one day this dream came to him again. He was told, "Join those people who are of the Ahmadiyya Radio, and you will reach God." After this, by the grace of Allah the Almighty, he took the bai'at.
When Allah the Almighty thus guides such people, and we, who are old and born Ahmadis, hear such incidents, our responsibility too increases greatly — that we should always keep our condition under observation. We should establish a connection with Allah the Almighty. We should set right our practical conditions, as I said. It must always be remembered that our laxities should not deprive us. It is the decree of Allah the Almighty that, insha-Allah, the caravan of Ahmadiyyat is to keep advancing. It will keep moving forward. So great attention is needed that we too remain part of this caravan always. Then there are also incidents in which great fatwas are issued against Ahmadiyyat, but sometimes, in order to teach a lesson, Allah the Almighty creates such occasions that the very ones who obtain those fatwas become the targets of those very fatwas. There is a lady of ours from Egypt, Jihad Sahiba; she says that my father had an affiliation with an organization, the Ikhwan al-Muslimeen, and used to follow it blindly. This very organization had had a fatwa issued, God forbid, declaring Ahmadiyyat to be outside Islam from another Egyptian organization, Dar al-Ifta. Once, my father leveled a false accusation against us in front of our relatives. At that time, in a state of utter helplessness, I raised my hands and prayed: "By Your grace, support us, and take vengeance from him who, while lying, claims to speak the truth." I prayed, "O Allah! If the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) is true, then show some sign." She says, at that time, I was observing the Shawwal fast, and it was the time near the Maghrib prayer. I switched on the TV in order to listen to news about the situation in Egypt, and there was no limit to my astonishment that Al-Azhar had declared the Ikhwan al-Muslimeen to be outside the fold of Islam and had pronounced them apostates. At this, I, raising the slogan of Takbir, said that the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) is in truth on the side of truth. In Egypt, the fatwa issued by Jamia al-Azhar is given more importance than the fatwa issued by Dar al-Ifta. I said to my father, "Now see what kind of answer Allah the Almighty has given you — that you had a fatwa issued, and in response Allah the Almighty has given you, in opposition, a more powerful fatwa, that the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) alone is on the truth." The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) states:
"That time, when one or two persons were with us, and there was no one else, and now we see that they are coming in droves. یَأْتُوْنَ مِنْ کُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِیْق. And then it is not just this, but over and above this is another note — that the opponents exerted themselves to the very tips of their nails to stop people from coming, but in the end, that very phrase was fulfilled. Now every new person who comes to us is a sign of this very revelation." (Malfuzat, Volume 4, page 370. Edition 1985, printed in England)
Then, in another place, he stated:
"Allah the Almighty does not desire that the faith of our Jamaat should remain weak. … Allah the Almighty, by His grace, is manifesting signs to increase the faith of the Jamaat." (Malfuzat, Volume 4, page 356. Edition 1985, printed in England)
By the grace of Allah the Almighty, this chain continues to this day. But there are some unfortunate ones who neither take a lesson from observing signs, nor try to recognize the truth; rather, they advance in opposition. Such people will then one day witness their end.
The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) states:
"God has appointed me. God has sent me. They (i.e., the opponents) should have observed whether the person who has stated his coming by the command of God also has with him the help and support of God or not. But they observed sign upon sign and said, 'They are liars.' They observed help upon help and support upon support, but said that this is sorcery." (i.e., magic.) "What hope can I entertain from these people who dishonor the word of Allah the Almighty? The demand of the dignity of God's word was that, on hearing its name, they would lay down their arms, but they advanced even further in mischief. Now they will themselves see in whose hand the outcome lies." (Malfuzat, Volume 4, page 437. Edition 1985, printed in England)
May Allah the Almighty soon show these opponents too their end, and may He cause the caravan of Ahmadiyyat — which, insha-Allah, will keep advancing — to advance with even greater speed, and may we too always remain part of it. After the Friday Prayer, I shall lead some funeral prayers. There is the respected Jameel Ahmad Gul Sahib, who has been residing in Germany for a long time. He had come with his family to the Jalsa Salana UK. They were in two cars with two families. On 3rd September, when they were on their way back to Germany, at night near the city of Limburg, where work was being done on the road, their car, which was being driven by his daughter, met with an accident. In this accident, a car coming from behind, in attempting to overtake, struck their car, due to which its balance could not be maintained. The car went into the other lane and collided with vehicles coming from the opposite direction. As a result of this, Jameel Ahmad Sahib's wife, Amatul Hameed Sahiba, his granddaughter Aziza Selina Jameela Ahmad, aged 11 years, and his maternal granddaughter Fatiha Rana, aged 10 years, became dear to Allah the Almighty on the spot. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'oon. Whereas Jameel Sahib's daughter Humda, who was driving the car, and his maternal grandson, were severely injured and went into a coma. By the grace of Allah the Almighty, their condition is now better. May Allah the Almighty grant them complete and swift recovery.
The respected Amatul Hameed Sahiba had the opportunity to serve for approximately 15 years as President Lajna Imaillah Offenbach, and also had the honor of laying a brick on the occasion of the foundation-laying ceremony of Bait-ul-Jami' Offenbach. The deceased was the daughter of the respected Rana Karamatullah Khan Sahib, former Amir of District Mansehra, who had the honor of being a prisoner in the way of his Lord, and the first case had been registered against him on the matter of saying "Assalamu alaikum." May Allah the Almighty raise the ranks of the deceased. May He treat them with forgiveness, and grant patience and fortitude to those left behind.
